Champs Cup: Previews; Keeping Up with the Sanchezes

If anyone can pass on the Mexican equivalent of the "Joneses," I'd be mighty obliged. The inspiration for that line comes from the fact that last night's quarterfinal second legs of the CONCACAF Champions' Cup saw to Mexican teams advance to the competition's semifinals. The clubs in question are CD Guadalajara and Pachuca CF.

And let the record show that I predicted one result down to the score and the other on substance. We'll see how I do with tonight's games.

Speaking of which, there's a buttload of preview material out there:

MLSnet.com: DC United v. CD Olimpia Preview
MLSnet.com: Houston Dynamo v. Puntarenas FC Preview
Washington: DCU: No Room for Complacency
Washington Times: Sun Young-Moon's Paper on DCU's Tactics
Houston Chronicle: Improved Conditions Work Both Ways
Houston Chronicle: Even Don Garber's Pride Is On the Line
Daily Texan: Holes, Mysterious and Otherwise, in Houston's Line-Up

So, read up and, around 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. PST tonight on Fox Soccer Channel, or at RFK, or in College Station (appropriate photo, by the way) get yer game on.
