I'm just passing this one on in recognition of good work. If you haven't read Ian Plenderleith's exploration of the cost of attending a Major League Soccer (MLS) game/event, by all means do. I haven't read something this useful since Mark Ziegler's piece about how MLS "fuzzy accounting" on attendance figures. And it's only growing in relevance with stadia being going up well outside city limits.
The best bits come with how many MLS teams are squeamish about releasing season-ticket sales information. The only thing that looks worse than discouraging data is discouraging data that's hidden.
