I touched on this (very) briefly in yesterday's post on Jamie Trecker's predictions for 2007, but want to give it a post in its own: Here's to hoping we see a Major League Soccer franchise in St. Louis - and Cleveland - as soon as they can make it work.
Sounds like St. Louis is looking to get serious. And after years of watching NFL teams bilking the public for hundreds of millions for their stadiums, the numbers getting tossed around - the use the figures from Bridgeview, IL's Toyota Park - it sounds comparatively reasonable. Let's hope the relevant voters see it the same way.
