Jesus Christ. Who kicked the trade button into over-drive. Ives Galarcep reports on his site that Red Bull New York acquired Dave Van Den Bergh from the Kansas City Wizards.
I like this trade from New York's perspective. Judging from what KC received in exchange - a third round supplemental draft pick - I'd assume they either, 1) have someone in mind for that spot (but how can they make sure said player will be available by the third round...never mind?), or 2) Van Den Bergh wanted out.
I'm going with the latter. That is all.

The van den Bergh traded was a trade to dump an SI who was making a lot of money and was not going to fit in the scheme of the new coach.
